At Five Element Flow, we seek to create inclusive movement practices to balance the body, mind, and spirit.
Using trauma informed practices, we offer a variety of group and private classes including:
Scott Riggs has been practicing martial arts for over 20 years. He is a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Wado-Ryu Karate and has studied a variety of martial arts styles including Aikido, Wing Chun, and Tai Chi.
Scott is an RYT 200 certified yoga teacher with specialties in Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Qi Gong, and meditation.
Scott also practices a variety of martial arts weapon styles. His favorites are rope dart, Escrima, Bo-staff, and medieval fencing. Keep an eye out for light-up sword fighting in the future!
Accessibility and inclusion are the greatest priority at Five Element Flow. We offer classes for all skill levels and body types.
Here, we believe in a complete and holistic approach to movement practices. Finding balance between the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of ourselves is the central intention of every class.

At Five Element Flow, we aim to create a space for beginners who may find traditional schools intimidating or inaccessible to show that anyone can find movement that is fulfilling to them. We also hope that experienced practitioners can discover new perspectives in our practice.
Our martial arts classes approach self-defense and fitness from a perspective of balance and non-violence first. We are not interested in teaching self-defense through fear and victim-blaming. Instead, our classes seek to empower students to feel confident in defending themselves mentally and socially, as well as physically.
